Saudi Re posted net income before Zakat and tax at SR28,951,773 in the last 12 months compared to net loss of SR34,305,879 for the same period the previous year. 
Saudi Re’s financial status rallies in 2012

It has been made mandatory for Saudi insurance companies to display their insurance policy premiums for vehicles from March. This follows a decision taken by Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (SAMA) urging vehicle insurance companies to display their list of policies with the premiums. This has been done after Saudi vehicle insurance companies said in a communication to SAMA that their losses for 2012 were estimated at 80 percent.

Two of the insurance companies are planning a specialised health cover for diabetics or sugar patients.  Apollo Munich has already filed a diabetic cover with theInsurance Regulatory and Development Authority ( IRDA), Religare Health Insurance is planning to submit soon.
